As a Cy Creek graduate and former Silvie Social Officer President, Kim is proud to call her former high school her current professional home for the past five years!  She earned her AA from Tyler Junior College where she was an Apache Belle for two years and served as a Dance Captain her second year. She completed her studies at the University of Houston, graduating with a BA in Education with an emphasis in Dance and Sociology, receiving Outstanding Dance Student of the Year for 1990.

Prior to becoming the Silvies Director, Pieri was the head director of the Waller HS Wranglerettes for one year before her 8-year stint as Kempner HS head director of the Brigade Dance Team.  She also served as assistant director of the Cy Woods HS Cadettes and long-term sub for the Cy Fair HS Brigade. Pieri got to experience performing at Super Bowl LI, with Lady Gaga.  Although, winning both team and officer awards is an ongoing goal; Kim’s most valued accomplishment is teaching her dance and drill team students the proper tools for future success.

Kim has been involved with the Dance/Drill Team industry for the past 30 years serving as contest and team adjudicator, TDEA board member, FBISD Dance Director Liaison, nominated by students to Who’s Who among American Teachers and was a contest coordinator for the “Contest of Champions” at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  Pieri served as travel planner and group tour escort for Connect Tours & Cruises while leading their dance team markets in New York, Los Angeles and London.

Kim enjoys numerous hobbies, such as stationery design, crafting and volunteering. Time with with family and friends is extremely important to her, but her favorite thing to do is spend quality time with her children, Payton (26), Jocelyn (19) & Garrett (18) and family dogs Marley McCoy, Maggie Mae and the newest addition Wellar.
